Being Jo Sapien is the show about everyday people doing their thing. Each week the audience get to vote for who they want to watch.

The show uses the six-degrees of separation concept to explore human connection. It harnesses the power of social & participant media to create a compelling viewing experience. Currently the show is in it's pre-production stages, and seeking interested partners.

Main features of the show:

  • Viral audition process: people post short video entries to their social media news feeds, like facebook and twitter, along with the words 'I'm Jo Sapien'. Audience votes on who they would like to be the world’s first ‘Jo’.

  • ‘Jo' gives us a glimpse into their lives. They also show us one of their creations or create something new during the show.

  • ‘Jo’ introduces us to at least 3 friends/colleagues who can be voted on to become the next ‘Jo’

  • The 3 contestants have 20sec at the end of the episode to tell the audience what they would do if they were 'Jo'.

  • The audience votes on who they would like to be 'Jo' each week.

  • The world's first Integrated Social Media (ISM) documentary: the people that make up social networks can participate in and become a star of Being Jo Sapien.

  • Online: 3-7 minutes episodes. 3x20sec interviews with potential ‘Jo’s’ at end of episode.

  • Television: 22-30 minutes, includes interview with past and present Jo’s plus behind the scenes look at the show.

  • Mobile: ability to vote via sms, watch 30sec snippets of show plus the 20sec intro to potential new contestants.
